Principal's Message

Dr. Cortney Richa-Hebert began her educational career in 2002 as a fifth-grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher in Alief ISD before becoming the building Language Arts and Social Studies specialist. Dr. Richa-Hebert continued her work as a Language Arts and Social Studies specialist in Spring Branch ISD. She then moved to St. Mark’s Episcopal School where she taught Third Grade Language Arts before becoming the campus curriculum coordinator and after-school coordinator while also obtaining her masters in Curriculum and Instruction with principal certification from the University of St. Thomas. She then served as assistant head of lower school. In 2020, Richa-Hebert become principal of the elementary school at Beth Yeshurun Day School while completing her Ed.D. in Ethical Leadership and superintendent certification from the University of St. Thomas. Dr. Richa-Hebert most recently served as assistant principal at West University Elementary in HISD. Dr. Richa-Hebert graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in English and History and earned her elementary teacher certification from Eastern Michigan University. This will be her 23rd year in education and her third year as the principal of Eliot Elementary School. She is so proud to continue to serve as an Eliot Eagle!
